The Nigeria Police have again assured citizens of adequate security as Nigerians go to poll in various states to cast their votes for Governorship and House of Assembly Election.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG, in charge of training and development, Mr. Yakubu Jubril stated this at a meeting with other security agencies in Oyo state ahead of Saturday’s elections.

Mr. Jubril noted that criminally minded people with plans to snatch ballot boxes during election would be dealt with decisively as more officers have be added to increase manpower for the election duty.

Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Mr. Shina Olukolu said that the command had also upgraded digitally to achieve hitch free polls.

Similarly, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, says it has deployed three thousand five hundred personnel for a smooth conduction of the election.

NSCDC Commandant in the state, Dr. John Adewoye said this became imperative as part of the corps efforts in making the exercise credible and unbiased.
