A religious leader, Professor Sabit Olagoke has attributed voter apathy to envisaged violence, intimidation, hate speech and presence of armed security personnel in some polling units.

Professor Olagoke made this known at Wakajaye, Ibadan while speaking with Radio Nigeria correspondent.

He emphasized the need for National Orientation Agency, NOA, to embark on continuous voter education, particularly before the commencement of another electioneering process to allay d fear of voters.
