National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, Oyo State Command says it has arrested eighty one suspects between the months of January to March this year.

This is contained in a statement in Ibadan signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs Mutiat Okuwobi.

This statement states that the command also seized 600.561kg of cannabis sativa and other substances which include Diazepam, Exol 5, Tramadol.

It states that twenty suspects had been convicted and sentenced to various jail terms ranging from six months to five years.

It notes that the command also uncovered a skushi factory in Ibadan metropolis, which led to the seizure of 290 litres of skushi and its paraphernalia.

The statement also notes that NDLEA had rehabilitated forty two people, who were into drugs through therapy and counseling.

It adds that the command will not relent in frustrating the activities of drug peddlers in the state and the nation at large.
