Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi wants the newly recruited Anti-Grazing Task Force Marshals to be diligent and assist the state to reduce destruction of farm lands and produce by cattle.

Inaugurating the marshals in Ado Ekiti, Governor Fayemi said government would also post them across the state to check illegal felling of trees to boost the Internally Generated Revenue, IGR.

Represented by the State Coordinator Task Force on Anti-Grazing, Mr. Sola Durodola, the governor said necessary logistics had been provided for them to make their job easier, warning that any one of them found wanting would be dismissed.

The Governor announced that all herdsmen in the state would be registered and given codes with a view to identifying those destroying farm produce among them.

Earlier the State Coordinator, Mr. Sola Durodola who told the new marshals that they would be working both day and night with security operatives, cautioned them against act of lawlessness.

In an interview, one of the new marshals, Mr. Aladelokun Ayodeji who spoke on behalf of others, thanked Governor Fayemi for employing them and pledged that they would live up to expectations.
