Alumni,association of Western Nigeria Television,WNTV,has called for collaboration with Radio Nigeria at re-awakening the achievements of notable celebrities of the past.

The veteran broadcasters stated this during a courtesy visit to the management of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria,Ibadan zonal station.

Leader of the delegation and former Nigeria ambassador to the Philippines, Dr Yemi Farounbi who noted that the first television broadcast on WNTV was on the 31st of October 1959 said Nigerians that were famous decades ago must be celebrated and imprinted in the mind of the younger generation.

Dr Farounbi while lauding the immense contributions of FRCN to the unity and development of the country solicits for their support in celebrating the sixtieth anniversary of WNTV.

Responding, Zonal Director, FRCN, Ibadan, Alhaji Mohammed Bello who welcomed the wonderful initiative of the veteran broadcasters promised to give the association the needed support .

Activities lined up for the sixtieth anniversary of WNTV includes a documentary,hall of fame, gala ,colloquium and much more.
