Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has charged the newly appointed seventeen permanent secretaries to live up to their responsibilities by adding value to public service and drive the policy trusts of government to ensure good governance..

The governor, who gave the charge in Ado Ekiti at the swearing in of the permanent secretaries, emphasized the need for them to provide quality leadership at their various ministries, departments and agencies.

Dr Fayemi said the appointment of the new permanent secretaries was based on merit with a deliberate attempt by government to reposition the civil service for effective service delivery.

He charged them to see their appointment as a call to greater service and another opportunity to contribute their quota to the development of the state.

Responding, Mr Ibrahim Ganiyu, who spoke on behalf of other permanent secretaries, expressed appreciation to the governor for such opportunity and promised to not to undermine the ethics of the public service.
