Oyo state government has donated ten new patrol vehicles and other security kits to the State Joint Security Task Force code-named “Operation Burst” to further enhance security of lives and properties in the state.

Also, the state government donated fire prevention gadgets and other safety kits to the Oyo State Fire Service.

The patrol vehicles were received by the Commander of Operation Burst and Garrison Commander, 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Oluyinka Soyele in a ceremony held at the Oyo State Security Trust Fund, OYSSTF, Office located at Oba Akenzua Cresent, Onireke in Ibadan.

In a remark before the presentation, chairman of the board of trustees, Chief Adebayo Adelabu said the Senator Abiola Ajimobi-led administration had made enviable success in security and urged the incoming government to sustain the legacy.

Chief Adelabu also implored security officers who were beneficiaries of the donation to cultivate maintenance culture and ensure the vehicles were used for designated purposes.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Mr. Segun Abolarinwa also explained that the present administration would continue to give priority to security till the expiration of its tenure.
