Oyo State House of Assembly has set up a seven member adhoc committee to go through the document on harmonized Southwest houses of assembly rules and standing orders and report to the House its findings within short period.

The adhoc committee is headed by the Deputy Speaker, Mr Abdulwasi Musah, representing Saki West Constituency.

The report contained discussions held at a day meeting on validation of the Southwest houses of assembly harmonised rules and standing orders held in Ibadan on the 18th of last month.

In the meantime, the House postponed the third reading of the report of joint committees on lands, housing, survey as well as judiciary till 21st of this month to allow the committees perfect works on the report, and  considered the Oyo State Tenancy Bill 2016.

Also at the plenary, the House received correspondence from the Federal Road Safety Corps, Oyo Sector Command, stating the corps’ decision to investigate and sanction any of its officers that was involved in the alleged illegal chase of a commercial car at Moniya, Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Speaker of the House, Mr Olagunju Ojo was asked to feed the House back on the outcome of the investigation.
