The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, has paralysed activities of Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, in Kaduna by picketing the organization.

Speaking with newsmen at the entrance of the company, state chairman of TUC, Comrade Shehu Mohammed explained that the move was to prevent maladministration of the company by the management.

According to him, there is enough power generation for the country but electricity transmission has been highly epileptic due to issues of mismanagement.
Comrade Shehu Mohammed said the TUC Picketed the company to draw the attention of the federal government towards addressing the numerous challenges arising from failure of the management.

Efforts for a response from the management of the TCN in Kaduna proved abortive but the state chairman of the National Union of Electricity Employee, NUEE, Comrade Ephraim James said they were not part of the protest because TUC did not inform them before embarking on the action.
