The Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, OSHA, Mr. Timothy Owoeye wants workers to engage in dialogue rather than confrontation in settling disputes with government.

The Speaker, made the call when he received the Head of Service, Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade and his team on a courtesy visit to the Assembly complex in Osogbo.

Mr. Owoeye maintained that the Assembly would not relent in its efforts at wading into issues relating to workers’ welfare in the state with a view to ensuring that workers jaw-jaw instead of war-war.

The Speaker also directed the Head of Service to be proactive in the implementation of new minimum wage for workers with the belief that a well motivated workforce is a great asset for the overall well-being of the running of government.

Earlier, the Head of Service, Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade commended the Speaker and members of the 6th Assembly for their arbitration efforts between workers and state government.

Mr. Oyebade called for peaceful coexistence among the lawmakers noting that they are representatives of their constituencies and state.

The visit of the Head of Service is coming after the inauguration of the seventh assembly and the emergence of Mr. Timothy Owoeye as the Speaker of the House of Assembly of Osun state.
