Governor Kayode Fayemi says no part of Ekiti State has been ceded for herdsmen settlement known as RUGA shelter programme.

He made the clarification during a media chat in Ado Ekiti, following rumour that Ekiti was among other states selected for the pilot project of RUGA Shelter programme.

Dr Fayemi explained that nobody had discussed with him the idea of providing land for any RUGA project even at the level of Nigeria Governor Forum.

The governor pointed out that twelve states in the northern part of the country had indicated interest in RUGA settlement project, urging opposition to stop playing politics with such sensitive matter.

Commenting on his recent visit to the President of the African Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina in Abidjan, the Governor said that Ekiti would benefit more especially in the areas of Agriculture, Road construction and Airport project among others.
