Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Oyo State Command has begun a 3-day psychological behavioural test for its officers and men for effective delivery.

The test started on Friday at the Command Headquarters, Secretariat Road Ibadan.

While declaring the training open, Oyo State Commandant of the corps, Dr. John Adewoye said the psychological evaluation test was a fulfillment of ensuring better welfare of its personnel in relation to their behaviours towards members of the public.

Dr. Adewoye was of the opinion that if security operatives were of stable mind, they would carry out their duties as expected and avoid unnecessary harassment of members of the public.

National Forensic Psychological Evaluation Officer, Mr. Fatoyinbo Oluseyi said the training would facilitate a vibrant and more productive corps by placing the officers where they belong psychologically.

Mr. Oluseyi said the training which was a written test would assist the corps to know how to manage each officer based on their psychological status.

Two officers, Mr. Paul Shomide and Mrs. Ebunoluwa Ajayi said psychologically-balanced personnel would be able to effectively put in their best in carrying out their civic responsibilities.
