Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has inaugurated a ten-man committee to review government projects and contracts from 2017 to 2019.

The committee headed by Oyo State Chairman, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engineer Damola Fatila was inaugurated at the Executive Council Chambers of the Governor’s office, Ibadan.

In a remark, Governor Makinde urged the committee to discharge its mandate without favour and verify contractors who claimed to have delivered.

Governor Makinde, who promised not to interfere with the committee’s functions, enjoined it to inspect uncompleted projects, ascertain their financial implications and advise government appropriately.

The governor said emphasis would be placed on significance of the projects to the overall interest of the people.

Chairman of the committee, Engineer Damola Fatila assured that the committee would work in line with the guidelines of its mandate.

The committee has four weeks to submit its report.
