The Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Mr. Timothy Owoeye wants local governments to desist from leaking official documents to the public or social media.

Mr. Owoeye made the call when the executives of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Oshogbo.

The Speaker noted that leaking official secrets is against ethics of the civil service, urging the local government staff to work according to the rules and regulations guiding their job.

Mr. Owoeye called for collaboration of the NULGE towards the progress and development of the state.

He assured the Union of the Assembly’s support towards ensuring peaceful coexistence between workers and government.

Earlier, the NULGE Chairman, Comrade Deji Adeyeye called on the Assembly to take step to ensure constitution amendment in the area of making states harness their resources.

Comrade Adeyeye also advised state government on improving on Agriculture sector to provide job opportunities for the unemployed youth.
