In a bid to bring back the lost glory of 3SC Football Club, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State says a special adviser will be appointed by government to give the club adequate attention.

The governor stated this in Ibadan when he hosted top government functionaries from State Ministry of Youths and Sports, management of 3sc as well as its supporters club.

Engineer Seyi Makinde, after a frank meeting which lasted for almost three hours, said the appointed special adviser would be in the governor’s office to take charge of 3SC and another state football club, Crown F.C Ogbomoso.

He said to address the abysmal performance of the club, his government would motivate the players and management of the team.

Governor Makinde, who was optimistic that 3SC would be promoted this season, explained that his administration would not mix administration of sports with politics.

In a remark, General Manager, 3SC, Mr Rasheed Balogun apologised for the inability of the team to progress to Nigeria Professional Football League and expressed the commitment to reposition the club.

Also speaking, Chairman Oyo State Football Association and Chairman supporters Club, Oba James  Odeniran and Oluwafemi Oyeniyi called for proper funding of the club with moral support and motivation for players as well as management.

Other speakers were full of hope that with the support of the government,  Shooting Stars Football Club would soon bounce back.
