The Nigeria Governors Forum, NGF is to collaborate with the African Development Bank, ADB, to promote the establishment of special agro-industrial processing zones to boost food production in the country.

The chairman of the forum, Governor of Ekiti State Dr. Kayode Fayemi announced this while addressing newsmen after the Forum’s meeting in Abuja.

Dr. Fayemi explained that African Development Bank officials would liaise with Chinese investors, which has the potential of attracting about one million dollars from the bank and over four billion dollars from the private sector.

On the position of governors on the directive of Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit NFIU for local governments to go straight to their respective bank accounts, Governors Fayemi explained that the case was in court in line with the provisions of the Constitution.

The governors also resolved to participate in the United Nations General Assembly meeting on Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Change billed for next month in the United States to fast-track the achievement of the goals.
