Commissioner of police in Oyo State, Mr Shina Olukolu has paraded twenty nine suspects who specialized in terrorizing the people.
They were paraded at Police Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan.
Ten out of the suspects were apprehended at Akinyele area along Ibadan- Oyo expressway with a truck loaded with new four hundred and ten portable generators valued at forty million naira while trying to divert the goods to an unknown location.
The driver of the truck, Abiodun Afeez, who confessed to the crime said a friend of him promised to buy the goods for one million Naira which prompted the diversion.
Also, An alleged serial rapists, Lamusa Anthony, who was known for attacking unsuspecting female and later rape them denied the allegations but said the act was a mutual agreement between himself and the victims.
Other suspected criminals, who were arrested for various offences, confessed to the crime and pleaded leniency
Commissioner of police in Oyo state, Mr Shina Olukolu said through community policing and extra efforts of officers of the command, the state would gradually be rid of criminals.
Exhibit recovered from the suspects included four hundred and ten new generators, five hundred and sixty gallons of engine oil, eight vehicles, fifteen motorcycles, twenty three ammunitions, 24arms, knives, mobile phones and laptops.
