The National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta has nullified the election of Mr. Kolapo Osunsanya of the All Progressive Congress as member of the Federal House of Representatives. 

The tribunal chaired by Justice Wakeel Alkali while delivering the judgement at the State High Court Five Isabo Abeokuta upheld the petition filled by Mr Taiwo Shote of the People Democratic party against the victory of Mr. Osunsanya representing Ijebu-Ode/Ijebu North-East Federal Constituency.

The three man panel in an unanimous judgement ordered a fresh election within ninety days in Ward 8, Ijebu North East; Ward 5, Unit 5 in Ijebu Ode and Ward 10, Unit 3 in Odogbolu.

The National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal however upheld the election of Senator Tolu Odebiyi of the All Progressives Congress representing Ogun West Senatorial District of Ogun State.

The Tribunal also dismissed the petition filled by Mr. Monsuru Sunmonu of the Peoples Democratic Party against the election of Mr. Jimoh Ojugbele of the All Progressives Congress, as the elected member of the House of Representatives from Ado-Ota Federal Constituency, Ogun State.

The tribunal said the petitioner failed to submit documents to supports their claims and that documentary evidence superseded oral evidence.
