Distributing the cheques in Ado-Ekiti, Governor Kayode Fayemi said the gesture was aimed at putting adequate infrastructure in place across rural communities and also put smiles on the faces of the people.
Dr. Fayemi also announced about five different projects worth five hundred million dollars which were to be executed in the state by the World Bank.
The governor however warned that government would not tolerate any shoddy job from contractors.
The spokespersons for the benefiting communities, Chief Gbenga from Ilawe Ekiti Agbona and Mr. Bayo Alu from Erinmope Ekiti appreciated the Governor’s gesture and promised to monitor all government projects in their domains.
