Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde says plans are underway to commence a verification exercise in the state civil service to save cost and curb fraud in the service.

He stated this during an interactive session with civil and public servants at the state secretariat in commemoration of his hundred days in office.

Governor Makinde, while responding to different questions from workers, said the determination of his government  to conduct a verification exercise was aimed at blocking possible leakages to save cost in order to meet other welfare needs of workers.

The governor, who promised to prioritized workers welfare, assured that his administration would not discriminate against anyone

Earlier, the Head of Service, Mrs Amidat Agboola Head of Service, Mrs Amidat Agboola disclosed that the present government had review upward the housing loan and car loan for workers in the state and urged them to be committed in their duties.

Mrs Agboola therefore enjoined civil servants in the state to shun any acts which could inimical to the growth of their career and service.

In a goodwill messages, Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Oyo State chapter Titilola Sodo, and his Trade Union Congress counterpart, .Mr Emmanuel Ogundiran appealed to workers to support the current government in the task of developing the state.
