Famous Owo cultural festival, Igogo is to be rebranded and projected for global tourist attraction.
Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye announced this while receiving the management of Radio Nigeria Positive FM Akure in his palace at Owo.
The monarch disclosed that he was working on putting the age-long festival on a global stage to promote Owo culture and as well drive the tourism potentials of the ancient town.
The Olowo revealed that more of the rich culture and traditions of Owo would be on display on 14th December, 2019 during the presentation of staff Office and the celebration of the existence of Owo for a millennium.
He then expressed satisfaction with Radio Nigeria, Positive FM’s professionalism in news reportage and information dissemination which stood the station out.
Oba Gbadegesin who pointed out that he was an ardent listener of Positive FM promised to always partner Radio Nigeria in the coverage of major activities of the town.
The General Manager, Positive FM, Mr. Tunde Abiodun congratulated the revere monarch on his installation as the New Olowo of Owo.
The General Manager gave an assurance that Positive FM as a grassroots station in Ondo state was committed to promoting major events of Owo Kingdom.
