Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has promised to double the reward for award-winning teachers in the state, who won prizes ranging between five hundred thousand naira and one million naira.
The governor stated this in Asaba, during the maiden edition of the state Teachers Awards for Excellence, where he also promised a car gift to the winners of the Best Principal and Best Head Teacher categories.
Radio Nigeria’s Oghenero Eghweree reports that other categories of the awards are, Best Primary School Teacher and Best Secondary School Teacher.
