Credential Committee for election into various
offices of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Oyo State Council says collections
and submissions of nomination form ends next week Tuesday.
This is contained in a statement in Ibadan by Secretary to the committee, Alhaji Ridwan Fasasi.
The statement notes that the exercise scheduled for a week would not be extended as the committee will be strict with the timetable for the election which holds on 18th December, 2019.
It explains that the form is available for collection as well as for submission between the hours of 10am and 3pm during working days and weekend.
It points out that screening of contestants which will last for a week will commence next week Wednesday, 23rd October.
The statement enjoins contestants to embark on issue-based campaign and warn their supporters to avoid violence as well as social media and verbal attacks.
