Boroffice Hails Stakeholders, Security Services, INEC over Elections
The senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Professor Ajayi Boroffice says security agencies and Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC officials deserve commendations for ensuring that last Saturday’s presidential and National assembly elections in the country were credible and peaceful.
The lawmaker who won his third term to the upper chamber, told newsmen at the Akure Airport that, the combined efforts of security agents ensured that ad-hoc staffs and voters were not intimidated during the Saturday’s elections.
Professor Boroffice said the dysfunctional All Progressives Congress, APC structure in Ondo state led to poor performance of the party’s candidates in the state during the elections.
The Senator noted that the anti-party activities of some individuals in the state chapter of the APC made President Buhari lose in Ondo state.
The chairman, Senate Committee on Science and Technology said that the state secretariat of the party never made attempts to unite the party, promising to use his renewed mandate to ensure federal roads in Akoko-land were attended to.
