Electorates at Ward 5, Units 2 & 3 , Oluyole Local Government area of Oyo State, located inside St. Michael’s Pry School, Odo-Ona Nla, Idi-Ayunre, Ibadan, have applauded the arrangements put in place by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the governorship and state assembly election.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria correspondents, who monitored the election in the area, a community leader, Mr. Johnson Adeleke, maintained that since the election started, there had been no negative report in the area about malfunctioning of card readers and added that the supply of  other electoral materials was sufficient.

While commending INEC Ad-hoc officials for performing up to expectations, the leader also praised voters for conducting themselves in orderly manner. He however implored voters who were yet to vote to come out and perform their civic responsibilities.

Similarly, at ward 4,Unit 1, Ejioku/Igbon/Arikuyeri, Lagelu Local Government, a resident Mr Ayokunle Taju, commended INEC officials attached to the unit, for early arrival to d polling unit.

Mr Taju who explained that INEC officials were on ground as early as 7ooam, emphasized that accreditation and voting started at 800am.

Corroborating the resident’s comment, an INEC adhoc official, Mrs Hannah Otudo explained that early arrival& efficient smart card reader aided d voting process.

Also, speaking, INEC technical support officer, Miss Veronica Ayodele, who explained that her major role was to ensure all the card readers function effectively, said so far, no card reader has malfunctioned

Also at Ward 7,unit 7,Lalupon Busstop, Lagelu Local government, Ibadan, two residents, Mrs Odunayo Akinkunmi and Mr Tunde Yekini who applauded INEC for the smooth conduct of d election, appealed to INEC to ensure their votes count.
