There is a low turnout of voters in today’s State House of Assembly election in Akoko area of Ondo State.

Correspondent Leke Adegbite who is covering Ondo North Senatorial area of the state, observes that unlike the Presidential and National Assembly elections of two weeks ago, very few electorate were on the queues as at 8:25am.

INEC officials and security agents however arrived very early at the polling units in some areas like Oba-Akoko, Akungba-Akoko, Idoani, Etioro- Supare Akoko and Oka-Akoko.

Our correspondent also observes that security agents also arrested travelling motorists and commuters who violate restrictions of movement.

In Ondo North there are nine state Assembly seats namely: Owo constituencies one and two, Akoko North East constituency, Akoko South East constituency, Akoko south west constituency one and two, Ose constituency as well as Akoko North West constituencies one and two

Accreditation and voting has commenced in some polling units in Oshogbo and Olorunda Local government area and other parts of your places

Food vendors were busy doing their business while some shops were also open

The aged and physically challenged also came out to exercise their franchise
