Tension Rends the Air at Orita-Aperin, Ibadan
Business activities have been paralyzed at the ever busy Orita -Aperin area of Ibadan due to crisis which broke out this morning.
Radio Nigeria correspondent, Sunday Ogunyemi, who is monitoring the situation reports that the problem started when members of OPC and some Okada riders had a misunderstanding over parking space in the area.
It was learnt that the crisis which started from the community spread to the main junction of the area.
This resulted in panic among residents, causing people to run for their safety.
The tension was further aggravated when military officers were sighted parading the area in order to quell the crisis.
Our correspondent also observed that shops are under lock while street traders have packed their wares leaving the area almost empty.
The military parades the area with few commercial vehicles seen plying the road.
