The new Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Mr Bashir Makama has solicited the support of the media towards nipping crimes and social vices in the bud.
Mr Makama made the call in an interview with newsmen after a meeting with Governor Ibikunle Amosun at Conference Room, Governor’s Office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
The Ogun CP, who promised to sustain the relative peace being enjoyed in the state, said security of lives and property required the collective responsibility of all stakeholders.
Mr Makama said cases of cult clashes, kidnapping and other societal ills would be addressed.
In a remark, Governor Ibikunle Amosun advised the new police boss in the state to use his wealth of experience in ensuring protection of lives and property.
Governor Amosun attributed the success of his administration to improvement in the existing security architecture provided by the government.
