Ekiti State Government has given owner of Booseere Saw-mill in Ilawe-Ekiti a twenty-four hour ultimatum to pack all the logs abandoned beside the road.

The State Coordinator, Economic Preservation, Task force and General Enforcement , Mr Sola Durodola gave the ultimatum during a visit to the saw-mill in Ilawe Ekiti, following complaint by motorists .

He warned that government would not hesitate to close down the business premises if the owner failed to comply with the directive.

Mr Durodola, who noted that the saw-mill was sited in a sharp bend on the expressway, said government was more concerned about the safety of the residents of Ekiti.

The coordinator, who observed that men of the underworld could use the logs to block the road to perpetrate crime, called on all saw-millers across Ekiti especially those on road side, to stop dumping their logs beside the road to avert accident.
