Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has inaugurated a twenty six man transition committee saddled with the responsibility of ensuring smooth transition of government, come May 2019.

The Governor inaugurated the committee, which comprised of representatives both the outgoing and incoming administrations, at the executive council chamber of the Governor’s office, secretariat, Ibadan.

In an address, Governor Ajimobi harped on the need for collective responsibility devoid of party affiliation and religious differences in the ultimate interest of Oyo state and the nation at large.

While expressing confidence in the committee to deliver on their mandate, Governor Ajimobi explained that the cordial relationship that had ensued between the outgoing and incoming government demonstrated the believe in politics without bitterness.

The Governor emphasized that the inauguration of the transition committee showed the conviction of the present administration that governance was a serious business.

Governor Ajimobi implored the committee to work within their terms of references particularly the framework of organizing a befitting handing over ceremony rather than disrupt processes of governance.
