President, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Oyo State chapter, Alhaji Sikiru Titilola-Sodo has emerged the new chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Oyo State Council.

Alhaji Titilola Sodo was elected unopposed during the state delegates conference of NLC, held at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.

He was the immediate past vice chairman of NLC in the state.

Speaking shortly after his swearing in, Alhaji Titilola Sodo promised to ensure the full implementation of the new minimum wage of thirty thousand naira.

He equally appealed to workers in the state to support the new leadership of NLC with a view to make life more meaningful for the workforce.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent reports that other executive officers were elected unopposed.

Some labour leaders at the event including the immediate past chairman of NLC in the state, Alhaji Waheed Olojede and former chairman of the congress, Dr. Bashir Olarewanju, advised the new executives not to disappoint workers in the state.
