Ekiti Govt. Promises Fairness in Ongoing Employment Review
Ekiti State Government has assured all those employed at the tail end of the last administration of Governor Ayodele Fayose of fairness in the ongoing review of their employment.
The State Commissioner for Information, Tourism and Values Orientation, Mr Muyiwa Olumilua gave the assurance in Ado Ekiti while addressing a group of physically challenged people that were affected by the last minute appointment exercise.
The commissioner, who noted that the employment did not go through due process, said that a committee had been set up to review the exercise and also determine available vacancies within the public service.
Mr Olumilua told the visitors that the committee headed by the Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi had since concluded its assignment, and that the government would soon take concrete decisions on the issue.
He promised that available vacancies would be equitably filled without bias and undue political influence.
