Oyo Assembly Holds Orientation for Members Elect
Oyo State House of Assembly has begun a three-day orientation course for the 9th House of Assembly members-elect of the state.
At the opening ceremony holding in Ibadan, Speaker of the House, Mr Olagunju Ojo told the honourable members elect to be cautious of whom they put forward to occupy positions of leadership in the 9th assembly to avoid incompetence.
Mr Ojo appealed to the new lawmakers to remain tolerant and learn to accommodate the views as well as the feelings of others.
He told them to be ready for the task ahead and resolve any possible conflict not minding their differences.
Two Oyo State Assembly members elect, Mr ADebo Ogundoyin representing Ibarapa East Constituency and Mr Olamide Olagoke representing Ibadan North East 1, promised to deliver on the mandate given to them and set the ball rolling immediately the 9th assembly is inaugurated.
The three-day orientation course, which has some members of the 8th assembly as trainers, ends on Tuesday.
