Commissioner of Police, CP, in Oyo State, Mr Shina Olukolu has allayed the fear of the public over rumour that the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, will disrupt the handing over exercise.

Mr Olukolu made this known while briefing newsmen on the preparation of the Nigeria Police, Oyo State Command towards the exercise.

He noted that the command had been synergizing with other security agencies in the state to ensure a hitch-free event.

Mr Olukolu said he had met members of NURTW, who denied the allegation that the drivers union intended to disrupt the inauguration of the new governor of the state holding tomorrow.

The Oyo CP noted that the public should not hesitate to inform the police in case of any emergency.

Similarly, Oyo State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Mrs Uche Chukwurah has assured people that there would be free flow of traffic during the handing over.

Mrs Chukwurah said officers and men of the corps had been deployed to strategic places to control traffic during the inauguration.
