An Environmentalist Mr. John Shittu wants individuals and industries to collaborate towards tackling the challenges militating against safe environment for human existence.
Mr. Shittu who stated this while speaking with Radio Nigeria on the theme of the annual United Nations World Environment Day “beat air pollution’’, noted that the quality of environment in which man lives has a huge impact on his quality of life, hence the need to protect human environment form harmful practices to enhance the socioeconomic and health status of people.
The environmentalist stressed that, if people are to enjoy good health which is the major link to wealth, everyone should work together to live in a clean, safe and healthy environment conducive for living.
Mr. Shittu emphasized the need for every stakeholder in environmental issues, to synergize on ensuring proper management of water resources and control or prevent air pollution towards achieving safe, healthy and socioeconomically viable environment.
The environmental expert enjoined government at all levels and experts on safe environment to encourage public participation in environmental protection activities.
