The immediate past Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, OGHA, Mr. Olakunle Oluomo has emerged as the new speaker of the 9th Assembly.
Mr. Olakunle representing Ifo 1 State Constituency was elected unopposed while Mr. Dare Kadiri representing Ijebu North 2 State Constituency emerged as the Deputy Speaker.
In his acceptance speech, the new speaker, Mr. Oluomo promised to work together for the peace and progress of the state.
He stressed that he was ready to collaborate with other arms of government, for the success of the new administration.
The members of the house consisted of 15 members of the All Progressive Congress, APC, 7 members of Allied Peoples Movement, APM, 3 members of African Democratic Congress, ADC and one Peoples Democratic Party, PDP member.
Mr. Oluomo is the 7th speaker in the history of Ogun state.
