President Muhammadu Buhari has assented to the public Holiday act which makes June 12 as the country’s new Democracy Day and a public holiday.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Ettah Enang made this known to Statehouse correspondents.
According to him the act now removes May 29th of every year from being a public holiday making June 12 a public holiday and Democracy Day.
