Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has inaugurated a 10-Man Advisory council with a charge on members of the council to properly execute their mandate for the progress of the state.

Inaugurating the council at the Executive Chamber, Governor’s office Ibadan, Governor Makinde said the council would complement the knowledge and skills of the top government’s echelon in the day-to-day running of the government in terms of the expertise advice.

The governor who noted that the appointment of the council was not politically motivated pointed out that the members consisted of people who had performed well in their endeavours both at state and national level.

In a remark, the Chairman of the council, former Deputy Senate Chief Whip, Senator Hosea Agboola said the council would embrace the fear of God in offering advice.

The 10-man council includes former majority leader House of Representatives, Mulikat Akande, Chief Jacob Adetoro, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde and Senator Monsurat Sunmonu.

Others are former state’s Head of Service, Prince Samson Gboyega, Professor Kolapo Hamzat and Kamil Akinlabi.

Two others members of the council were conspicuously absent at the inauguration.
