The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Oyo State has promised to collaborate with the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Oyo State Chapter on the commissioning of Zebra Crossings in selected schools in Oyo state.
Sector Commander, FRSC, Oyo State, Mrs. Winifred Chukwurah stated this while receiving members of NAWOJ on a courtesy visit.
Mrs. Chukwurah said the move by NAWOJ to reduce cases of accident of school children through Zebra Crossings was a way of easing the job of FRSC.
Earlier, Chairperson NAWOJ, Mrs. Jadesola Ajiboye and Vice President NAWOJ B-Zone said cases of accident involving school children on highways is quite worrisome hence the need for Zebra Crossings in Oyo State.
The commissioning of the project is slated for Thursday 27th of June at Loyola College, Old Ife Road, Ibadan.
