Make judicious use of your talent, cleric charges Christians

Christians have been advised to make good use of their talents and be prepared to give account of their stewardship.

The Provost, Cathedral Church of St Peter,  Abeokuta, the Very Reverend Isaac Adeniji stated this at the annual thanksgiving service of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council, put together by the union’s Matron, Chief Mrs Alaba Lawson.

In sermon entitled “Be a good instrument to be used by God” the Very Reverend Adeniji said there was the need for every creature to use their God-given talents judiciously for the propagation of the gospel.

Reading from the book of Matthew chapter twenty five verse fourteen to thirty,The Christian cleric encouraged Nigerians to live their life meaningful while on earth, and not waste the talents of God deposited in them.

He described Chief Alaba Lawson as dedicated, committed and God fearing woman whom he noted affected lives positive through her resources.

In a remark, Chief Lawson thanked God for His protection, especially the successful tenure of being the first female President of NACCIMA.

The high point of the thanksgiving service was a special prayer for Members of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State chapter.
