Stakeholders in the Justice sector have been advised to come up with stringent measures that will proffer solutions to various challenges affecting the administration of justice in the country.
The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Ayodeji Daramola gave the advice in Ilawe Ekiti while inaugurating a new State High Court Division.
Justice Daramola, who noted that such challenges had affected people’s confidence in the Judiciary, hence the need for urgent reform to make the Judiciary function effectively..
He observed that the new High Court, which would serve all the communities in Ekiti South West Local Government, was put in place to bring justice nearer to the people at the grassroots.
Justice Daramola pleaded with the people to see the court as a veritable platform to resolve disputes, and urged them to protect facilities in the court to justify its existence.
Earlier, the Alawe of ilawe, Oba Adebanji Alabi said the new High Court would be assisted by the community since it was put in place for the overall benefit of the people.
Radio Nigeria correspondent reports that Ekiti State Judiciary now has nine divisions of the High Court with the inauguration of the Ilawe Division.
