Radio Nigeria, Ibadan has received an award of excellence and patriotic performance during the 2019 general election from Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Oyo state.
Presenting the award during the thank you visit to the station at the broadcasting house, Dugbe, Ibadan Resident Electoral Commissioner, INEC, Oyo state, Mr, Mutiu Agboke lauded the effective coverage of the last election and prompt release of information to the general public by Radio Nigeria.
Mr. Agboke urged the station to continue to set agenda for political parties and engage security agencies on their plans even before another election approaches.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Zonal Director, Radio Nigeria, Ibadan, Alhaji Mohammed Bello, Deputy Director Marketing, Mrs. Bolanle Owoyemi commended INEC team for the adequate preparations and brilliant performance of the commission during the last election.
Alhaji Bello noted that the general performance of INEC had renewed the hope of many Nigerians for a better future.
