Government has been advised to expedite action in addressing the security crises affecting the Southwest region of Nigeria without delay.

The cleric in charge of the Gospel Faith Mission International, Agbowo Assembly, Pastor Akin Aro gave the advice while speaking with Radio Nigeria on the state of security in the Southwest.

The cleric lamented series of attacks on citizens of the region, saying failure of government to urgently check the menace may later affect socioeconomic development.

Pastor Aro also implored the herdsmen kidnapping Nigerians to desist from the acts, repent and seek divine forgiveness.

The cleric, who emphasized the need for parents to embrace birth control so as to adequately monitor their children, said failure of parent to rightly up bring their children had led to the current crises bedeviling the country.

He however expressed optimism that the country would soon overcome the problem.
