“Be wary of cult groups”, Police tells Ondo entertainment spots
Nigeria Police, Ondo State Command has warned operators of hotels, bars, social joints and restaurants to be wary of members of members of cult Group 77, who might use their places to unleash terror and initiation.
A Statement by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Femi Joseph, warns the group or any other groups by whichever name, planning illegal activities anywhere in the state to perish such thoughts.
Mr Joseph cautioned the group to desist forthwith or be ready to bear the full weight of the law.
The statement says officers and men of the command have been put on notice about these planned actions and directed to deal decisively and ruthlessly with lawless elements anywhere they are sighted across the state.
The PPRO cautioned that any hotelier, bar owner, social joint operator, restaurateur, who permits the activities of the cultists in his or her environment or location, will be treated as an accomplice and also face the full wrath of the law.
The command enjoined the people of the state to go about their normal businesses as the police are fully on ground to deal with any form of crimes and criminality.
