Family, friends and well wishers of the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr Adebo Ogundoyin have gathered at the First Baptist Church, Anko, Eruwa, for a service thanking God for the emerges of Mr Ogundoyin as the Speaker.
The service also witnessed a large turnout of sons and daughters of Eruwa both within and outside the state.
In a sermon, President Ibadan Baptist Convention, Reverend Adeyemi Adekunle, who examined the life of Joseph in the Holy Bible, in Genesis Chapter 41 verses 25 to 57, enjoined political office holders to emulate the Bible figure.
Earlier, while sharing his testimony, Speaker of the House, Mr Adebo Ogundoyin who acknowledged the grace of God on his life during the 28 years after the death of his father, expressed joy that with the support of his constituency, God has rewarded the good works of his father.
Mr Ogundoyin while appreciating the people of Ibarapa East, the Peoples Democratic Party and Governor Seyi Makinde for their support promised that the 9th Assembly in the state will make Oyo state proud.
In an interview, Oyo State Deputy Governor, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan said the present administration in the state will not renege on its promise to rule with the fear of God.
The speaker later hosted dignitaries at a reception which had in attendance, the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola, Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Shina Olukolu, members of the 9th assembly, the Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Chief Bisi Ilaka, and other PDP stalwarts.
