Journalists have been urged to always portray the good things about Nigeria rather than the negative event.

The Nigeria High Commissioner to Ghana, Ambassador Olufemi Abikoye made the call when he received members of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists who visited him at his office in Ghana.

Ambassador Abikoye noted that the reportage of negative stories about Nigeria has portrayed Nigerians as criminals to the outside world hence the maltreatment of Nigerians in their sojourn countries.

While advising the women Journalists to write stories based on facts and figures objectively, Ambassador Abikoye pointed out that Nigeria belongs to everybody and all hands must be on deck to make it great.

Earlier, the President, Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Omowole had called on the Nigeria High Commissioner to sensitise Nigerians and Ghanaians to concretize the relationship between Nigeria and Ghana.

Mrs. Omowole said Nigerians, resident and studying in Ghana should have a platform to live without prejudice or being treated as criminals.
