Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has expressed the determination of his administration to maintain cordial relationship with the 2 Mechanized Division of the Nigerian Army, Ibadan.

Engineer Makinde stated this during a courtesy visit by the new General Officer Commanding GOC 2 Mechanized Division of the Nigerian Army, Ibadan, Major-General, Anthony Omozoje .

The governor, who reiterating his administration’s commitment to security of lives and property, lauded the Nigerian Army for maintaining peace in the state during the last general election.

Governor Makinde appreciated the outgoing GOC, Major General Azinta Fedelis for the role he played during the last general election by paving way for free and fair election in the state. 

He reiterated that his administration would continue to have a good

working relationship with all security agencies in the state.

 The Oyo helmsman assured the new GOC that his government would not relent in its efforts at providing adequate logistics to the Division for its smooth operation in the area of security of lives and property.

Earlier in his remarks, the GOC, Major-Gen. Anthony Omozoje sought for

the governor’s support to assist the Division in the task of maintaining  peace and harmony in the state.

Major Gen Omozoje assured the governor of the readiness of his division to continue to participate fully in creating an enabling environment for good governance.
