The Senate is currently in an emergency closed session, a few minutes after the plenary was declared open by the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan.
The executive session may not be unconnected with the ministerial nominees’ list which the President has reportedly sent to the Senate.
Among those who made the list are Rotimi Amaechi, Gbemisola Saraki, Niyi Adebayo, Olorunnibe Mamora, Festus Keyamo, Lai Mohammed.
Lawan also announced that the screening commences on Wednesday.
