National Agency for the prohibition of trafficking in persons, NAPTIP has warned human traffickers to desist from the act or face the wrath of the law.

Zonal Commander, Naptip Lagos command, Mr Daniel Atokolo gave the warning in an interview with Radio Nigeria.

The commander who noted that cases of human trafficking were increasing by the day said for the act to be reduced, victims must always speak for themselves for effective prosecution of offenders.

Mr Atokolo noted that Naptip had opened different windows to create awareness at ensuring reduction of human trafficking in Nigeria.

Mr Atokolo added that the command had also partnered relevant stakeholders to ensure proper integration of victims into the society.
