The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi has called on well meaning Nigerians to always show love and charity to destitute and aged in the society.
Erelu Fayemi made the call when she presented a Television set, clothes and cash to a 115 year old woman, Mrs Jolaade Osho in Ikere Ekiti.
She said the gesture was borne out of her love for the aged and to compliment Dr Kayode Fayemi’s social security scheme for the elderly.
The wife of the Governor who condemned the rate at which elderly people are being abandoned, stressed the need to cater for them.
The beneficiary, Mrs Jolaade Osho who had been abandoned for about forty years after the death of her three children, thanked the Governor’s wife for the gesture.
